So I just got an update on Friday that some of my pictures will be displayed in a Photography Exhibition in Valid World Hall, Barcelona. They had over 33,500 participants and had to select from multiple submissions from each photographer.
The theme of this challenge was storytelling in photography and I wanted to share some images, mostly from my street photography sets. Observing people in the street and trying to guess their life story, where they are heading or what they are going through at the moment is a critical part of image building. Trying to tell a story with real-life situations can be tricky!
This first image had a bit of that.
I was always interested in the commuting aspect of our lives. Traveling every day. Seeing strangers. Anonymous people around you. When looking at how to tell this story, I noticed a clear sticker on my window. Right by eye level of the oncoming passengers. While the eyes give you so much of the story of your subject, hiding the eyes naturally increased the sense of anonymity. Just another person blending in with the rush of his daily travels.

This is the set I shared with them.
